Street was a continuation of Langton Road with construction
of the street beginning c1889. The
two passageways in the foreground was the junction
of the two streets.
The entrance to Irving Street is visible on the right,
with the 'Cinder
Path' and the Liverpool to Southport railway line
at the bottom of the street.
